Oryx Insurance Brokerage, Inc. of Binghamton, NY is pleased to announce that Jeffrey S. Excell, CRIS, CWCP, CHRS, WCLS, FLCS, has received a Certificate in Human Resource Studies from Cornell University’s School of Industrial Labor Relations. To achieve the certificate, students must take 6 courses totaling a minimum of 72 units, five courses from the core curriculum and one from a selected list of approved electives.

Cornell’s Certificate in Human Resource Studies is in addition to the CHRS (Certified Human Resources Specialist) designation in which Jeff also recently completed from Michigan State University’s School of Labor Relations. Excell has been with Oryx for over 6 years as the Director of Claims and Client Services. Jeff has been instrumental integrating policy and procedures between the carrier, claims and loss control departments. The integration between departments has led to lower loss ratios and proven claim resolutions. In addition to serving as the Director of Claims & Client services; Jeff also administrates the daily operations of our Syracuse office.
