Binghamton, NY (September 2010) – Desiree Cole, CIC, AAI, CRIS, P&C Production Underwriter for Oryx Insurance Brokerage, Inc. in Binghamton, NY has recently successfully completed The annual continuing education requirement of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. Desiree selected the 9/13-9/15, 2010, King of Prussia, Pa, seminar as its content was dedicated to insuring construction risks.

To earn this prestigious designation, Desiree attended five courses covering all phases of the insurance business and passed five comprehensive examinations. Additionally, The National Alliance requires annual attendance in the program to maintain the designation.

Desiree, has been a CIC since 2008. She believes the insurance profession is best served by those who acquire and maintain a high standard of professionalism by meeting the continuing education requirements of the Certified Insurance Counselors Program.

Oryx is a program underwriting company that specializes in construction insurance. Oryx has recently expanded their lines of business, beyond Workers Compensation, to included General Liability, Auto, Inland Marine and Umbrella. Desiree lends her expertise to promote and underwrite these extended lines of coverage.
